About the API

What this endpoint does.

Weather affects deliveries, agriculture, energy demand and outdoor events, but most global weather APIs don’t think in Indian cities first. This endpoint has 12 major Indian cities ready by name, plus full latitude/longitude support when you need a specific spot.

The response is deliberately flat and minimal — temperature, humidity, wind speed and a numeric condition code with a human description — so a frontend can render it without mapping tables.

Who builds on this

Built for the teams shipping real products.

  1. 01

    Logistics & delivery

    Gate outdoor operations — two-wheelers, open-air couriers — on current rain and wind per city.

  2. 02

    Agriculture & agri-tech

    Pair live conditions with crop advice or irrigation nudges at farm coordinates.

  3. 03

    Travel & events

    Show “how is it right now” for a destination instead of only a forecast.

Under the hood

What you send. What comes back.

Request

Inputs you send

  • cityoptional

    kolkata, mumbai, delhi… Omitted → kolkata.

  • lat + lonoptional

    or lat + lan / lng — custom coordinates for anywhere.

Response

JSON you get back

  • location

    { lat, lon } for the queried city.

  • temperature

    { value, unit: "°C" }

  • humidity

    { value, unit: "%" }

  • wind_speed

    { value, unit: "km/h" }

  • condition

    { code, description } — 0 clear … 99 heavy hail.

Free tier

Ship on this API free, then pay only when your calls outgrow it.

  • A free monthly request allowance on your first key — enough to build and test.
  • The same key works across every endpoint, so you can switch APIs as you grow.
  • When the free requests end, upgrade to paid — your code and endpoints don’t change.

Every endpoint includes a free monthly request allowance — the size differs from API to API. When your free requests run out, you move to a paid plan with the same key. No card needed to start.
